Dr. Sun is a well recognized expert in optical interconnection architecture for Tencent’s data centers, responsible for Tencent’s network hardware architecture design, optoelectronic interconnection product planning and standard formulation. Dr. Sun also serves as Professor at Shandong University and International Innovation Center of Zhejiang University. He is the founder and promoter of multiple industrial standards organizations, core member of the pioneering team for LRO/TRO technologies, initiator of high-speed active copper cable technologies for data centers, and principal investigator for the industrialization and application projects of several national key special programs. Dr. Sun won the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology First Class Award in 2025.
